Postdoctoral Associate

Buffalo, New York ~ June 16, 2020

Duties for this position will include conducting NIH funded research on the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying retinal development, using techniques including, but not limited to, mouse genetics, genomics, histology, molecular biology, and biochemistry. The incumbent will also be required to keep records of research, summarize and discuss findings with the supervisor, and report scientific discoveries in scholarly journals and at scientific meetings and conferences. Qualifications include a recent Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, developmental biology, or other related fields of life sciences. Knowledge in gene regulations and developmental biology and good communication skills in English are essential. Experiences with techniques in molecular biology, histology, genomics, and mouse genetics are required. Skills in programming and bioinformatics analysis of genomics data will be a plus, but not necessary.
