Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track), School Psychology

The Graduate School of Education (GSE) at the University at Buffalo, SUNY invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position in School Psychology in the Department of Counseling, School and Educational Psychology. The Department of Counseling, School and Educational Psychology has a long history of research excellence and a strong tradition of teaching and community engagement. Faculty demonstrate a commitment to creating a collegial academic environment characterized by equity, social justice, interdisciplinary collaboration and by ensuring that the research and practice mission of GSE contributes to local schools, agencies, and neighborhoods.
Building on program expertise in social emotional learning, mindfulness, trauma-informed practice, and anti-bullying scholarship, we seek a colleague whose research and teaching interests intersect with one of the following two areas: 1) academics/RTI and systems focus (multi-tier or specific academic intervention focus such as math or reading; and 2) behavioral or ABA with either a systems/PBIS and/or a focus on a particular disability of childhood (e.g., autism, ADHD). We are also particularly interested in scholars whose research directly engages questions of practice in urban and bilingual school settings. Ideal candidates are able to make clear connections between their scholarly work and the needs of marginalized and underserved students and families and schools.
