Coordinator, New Student Services

["•\tThe Coordinator of New Student Services is responsible for providing accurate, courteous and professional academic advice to prospective and current UB students, including parents and colleagues at the undergraduate level. The Coordinator is responsible for continuously managing and tracking assigned caseload of students. The Coordinator is accountable for providing timely follow-up on student/parent inquiries and for recording all appointment notes (and other notes of importance) in the Student Success Portal. The Coordinator provides advice in the following settings: in-office counseling, telephone, Advisor on Call (AOC) and e-mail advising. The Coordinator presents information in group settings during regular business and occasional weekend and evening hours. The Coordinator will complete administrative tasks including petitions for withdrawal, leave of absences, etc.", "•\tThe Coordinator of New Student Services will facilitate and teach the UE 101: Major and Career Exploration course to incoming freshmen in the fall semester. \r\n\r\n•\tThe Coordinator of New Student Services will coordinate fall, spring and summer orientation processes (freshmen, transfer and international) for EPAC. This role includes overseeing organization of student activities and working with the Office of Orientation, Transition and Parent Programs to secure orientation materials and adequate facilities for EPAC activities. The Coordinator will assist with the tracking/monitoring of Orientation Data Forms and assignments of new students to advisors. The Coordinator will develop the Academic Orientation Overview for use by advising units campus-wide and will assist with presenting to students during fall, spring and summer orientations.", "•\tThe Coordinator of New Student Services will prepare semester and annual reports and analyses of projects, as required. The Coordinator will participate in departmental and university committees, as needed, that relate primarily and directly to the work of EPAC and contribute in other university groups to which they can provide their unique expertise and experience. The extent of participation in all such groups is in consultation with and approval by the Director of EPAC."]
