Director, Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

["•\tThe Director serves as the responsible administrative officer of the EOP program and is responsible for implementation of specified goals and objectives of EOP, EOP tutoring and EOP courses. \r\n•\tThe Director works collaboratively as a member of the Student Success & Retention leadership team, and represents and interprets the EOP program to various university offices, governmental bodies, the public and students.\r\n•\tProvides day-to-day supervision and function of Counseling/Advising of EOP, EOP Tutoring and EOP Courses.\r\n\r\n•\tResponsible for the planning and supervision of a 4 week pre-freshman and transfer student residential summer program as well as various EOP programs (Opening Weekend, Awards Ceremony, Graduation Banquet, Probation and Transfer Students). \r\n\r\n•\tAssist in the development, maintenance, updating, and security of the EOP databases.\r\n\r\n•\tWorks closely with essential offices and other internal campus units to review, evaluate and/or recommend policies and procedures which may affect the program or students. Included among these are: Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Institutional Analysis, Campus Living, Faculty Student Association, Office of the Registrar, Career Services, Campus Police, Counseling Center, the University Learning Center, all Academic Departments, Undergraduate Education, student clubs and organizations, and all other Special Programs Units.\r\n\r\n•\tServe on assigned committees and attend departmental meetings (Staff Meetings, Summer Program, Advising Administrators, etc.)", "•\tDirectly supervise activities of EOP counselors and administrative support staff, delegating responsibilities where appropriate. Ensure staff receive proper orientation, coaching, training and professional development. Coordinates interaction of staff with other units of the Campus.\r\n\r\n•\tResponsible for recruiting, selecting and evaluating staff members.\r\n\r\n•\tDirect day-to-day supervision of the EOP Tutoring Services.", "•\tThe Director is responsible for preparing the annual budgets and related reports and reviews and approves expenditures for the program. The Director ensures the integrity of financial information and records.\r\n\r\n•\tResponsible for the completion of various reports including evaluation and compliance reports required by the Office of Opportunity Program Services. These include, but are not limited to: EOP Annual Report, Performance Agreement Compliance Reports, Enrollment Reports, EOP General Plan and updates, Summer Program Proposal and Evaluation, and the EOP Final Report. In addition to requests for data and reports from the Senior Associate Vice Provost for Student Success and Retention.", "•\tAssist with coordination of on and off campus Admissions events.\r\n•\tTrack EOP enrollment, attrition and graduation rates and provide statistical reports as requested.\r\n•\tDevelop strategies and programs which reduce the numbers and improve the success rate of students placed on Probation and Warning\r\n\r\n•\tThe Director is responsible for conducting research and maintaining accurate records of student performance and program effectiveness. The Director prepares related statistical and compliance reports required by the Office of Opportunity Program Services or the university."]
